We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Artist to design, produce, and deliver high-quality visual products across a wide range of formats. This role supports both print and digital communications, ensuring all deliverables meet accessibility, branding, and quality standards. This is a full-time position is in-person and located in Fredrick, MD. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, edit, produce, and publish a variety of high-quality visual materials, including slideshows, templates, logos, brochures, flyers, business card templates, animations, graphics, scientific posters, and informational displays.
- Support command publications, VIP visits, trade show exhibits, installations, and other engagement activities with professionally designed visual assets.
- Deliver electronic and print materials that meet Section 508 accessibility requirements, including alt text and accessible PDF formatting.
- Propose new creative concepts in collaboration with government and contractor teams to produce militarily relevant content.
- Ensure print deliverables meet the highest possible quality standards while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Serve as the on-site graphics point of contact, providing graphics support and coordinating reach-back needs.
- Gather and maintain a robust photo repository, conduct pre-client reviews, and ensure consistent branding across all materials.
- Maintain and update an organized image library related to research areas for use in presentations and productions.
- Edit and format PowerPoint presentations for consistency and professional appearance across slide decks.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience producing high-quality design products for print and digital platforms.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements for digital and PDF deliverables.
- Strong understanding of visual branding and ability to maintain consistency across multiple products.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Experience with print production processes and working with vendors.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. #LIRemote
