PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as an electronics engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD. Applicant will work as part of a design, test, and evaluation team, but also work on data acquisition, software development, computer networks, and underwater electronic system designs.Develop project plans and test plans and conduct land/ocean-based field tests/demonstrations of advanced sensor systems. Write test reports. Brief designs, test plans, and test reports to upper management and sponsors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of electronics hardware development experience
- Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in analog & digital circuit design
- Experience with software tools such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or MATLAB
- Understanding of analog controls and signal conditioning amplifier design
- Understanding of circuit noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques
- Experience simulating amplifier circuits using SPICE or similar tools
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout experience (Altium, Cadence)
- Knowledge of best practices with regards to hardware development, layout and circuit design
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, DVM, function generators, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Travel to other Navy sites may be required (occasionally)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.Qualified Candidates should send their resume to [email protected]
