The Strategic Sourcing Manager oversees the sourcing and procurement of goods and services required for Meriplex’s operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this position develops and implements strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services while also managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and tracking performance to ensure compliance with Meriplex’s standard requirements.
Key Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Consolidate the supply base across the acquisition companies while executing on savings opportunities for the company.
- Manage Strategic Sourcing related activities of all expense categories, including but not limited to hardware, software licenses and various services.
- Ability to review new acquisition company’s procurement practices and integrate their processes and systems into one.
- Critical understanding of “best in class” supply chain practices with a focus on driving down “Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technologies to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk and protect continuity of supply.
- Establish and foster relationships with suppliers to ensure attainment of organization objectives.
- Align with various internal departments (Sales, Operations, PMO, etc.) to create reports and processes which help the Project Team deliver projects on-time and within budget to customers.
- Develop and track appropriate Procurement KPI’s in conjunction with management.
- Proactively explore new programs for continuous improvements in material and process changes to achieve the best quality, reliability, pricing and delivery from suppliers.
- Collect and formulate supply chain data, advising CFO of potential problem areas and making suggestions for corrective action.

Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering (Experience in lieu will be considered)
- Various procurement software experience, preferably NetSuite, and/or ConnectWise.
- 10+ years of experience sourcing a variety of goods and services.
- 5 years management experience.
- Licensing procurement experience.
- Prior Software, Telecommunications and/or IT infrastructure experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level attention to detail.
- Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
