QA Field Inspector (NYC Metropolitan)
About the Role
Performance Systems Development (PSD) is seeking a high-performing individual to join our Quality Assurance (QA) Field Inspection team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in growing a career in the clean energy field. On-the-job training will be provided.As a QA Field Inspector, you will:
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance inspections on buildings participating in various utility programs. This may entail onsite or remote data collection including model numbers and other component details, performance testing, health and safety testing as well as other measurements.
- Record, process and maintain detailed records of the work performed in the field. Report findings via company’s tracking system. Produce accurate, high-quality reports under tight deadlines, consistently maintaining data integrity and zero-defect standards.
- Manage time effectively and within project budget constraints. Submit time and expense reports promptly and per client and company requirements. Manage and streamline workflow to maximize efficiency, ensuring goals and deadlines are met.
- Access scheduling software to download your weekly inspection schedule, and report on audit/inspection progress and issues or concerns. May need to schedule and track your own appointments.
- Provide training, technical assistance, and support to auditors and contractors participating in programs while nurturing and developing these business relationships.
- Serve as the face of PSD at client meetings, delivering insights and fostering collaboration.

What You Bring
- Familiarity with construction, energy efficiency, and/or HVAC systems with interest and/or experience in the clean energy or utility services fields. Experience with commercial buildings a plus.
- Good judgement and effective problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfort in communicating with varied audiences, including non-technical audiences.
- Strong comfort level with technology across varied platforms and ability to learn new software and tools.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check.
Additional Details
- Physical Demands: Frequent computer use requiring periods of sitting and close audio-visual concentration.
- Work Environment: Office work is performed in an open and collaborative environment, both virtually and on location. A home office space is required to complete reports, participate in calls, etc.
- Travel Requirements: Local travel in New York City metro via subway/bus and nearby regions on occasion; occasional overnight travel may be required.
