Job Summary
The Corporate Finance Analyst will report directly to the EVP, Corporate Development but also support other executive management such as the CEO and CFO. Responsibilities would be two part and include 1) General FP&A, financial trend and KPI monitoring, compiling and analyzing portfolio data, presenting findings to stakeholders on a monthly and quarterly basis, completion of monthly reporting for lenders and investors, 2) analysis of target company financial statements and portfolio performance, support of broad M&A and capital raising efforts and other ad-hoc assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 2-4 years of work experience in finance, accounting or another quantitative field.
- Strong Excel Spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills.
- Applied knowledge of Financial Accounting and demonstrated analytical ability in the field.
- Fundamental Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to compile and analyze large data sets to provide actionable observations.
- Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with various business unit leaders and independently collaborate with the business units to seek detailed information to support required analyses.
- Detail oriented, self-starter, positive attitude. Able to work independently and part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to be in office 5 days a week.
Preferred candidates will have…
- CPA or CFA.
- Coding, SQL, PowerBI experience (strongly preferred).
- Experience or knowledge of asset-based lending, specialty finance, direct lending or related field.
- Financial Modeling skills.
- Financial statement compilation knowledge or experience.
- Commercial Credit training.
- M&A experience.
- Industry and Market research experience.
- Experience with complex legal documents.
