As a Systems Engineer, Level 3 supporting operations in Australia, you will play a critical role in the design, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems at a secure client site. You will ensure optimal system performance, maintain data integrity, and provide technical support for network, hardware, and software infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and define system architecture for new and existing computer systems.
  • Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems.
  • Provide technical support for networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoot moderately complex hardware and software issues.
  • Train end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Install and upgrade operating systems and software packages.
  • Monitor and tune systems for optimal performance.
  • Ensure data integrity with standard software and hardware solutions.
  • Perform regular backups and database archiving to ensure recoverability.
  • Conduct hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Ensure systems meet performance and security requirements.
  • Evaluate existing systems and assist in long-term planning strategies.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in systems administration and systems architecture.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Ability to work independently in a secure, OCONUS environment.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with security and configuration guidelines.
  • Ability to train end users effectively.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED and 25 years of relevant experience. Or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field and 20 years of relevant experience.

Certifications: 


  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 requirements

Clearance Requirement:


  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
