Trueline is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance defense team in
Houston, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior litigator with 2+ years of experience to manage a high-volume docket focused on general liability, premises, and some auto matters—while receiving support and mentorship from senior attorneys.
Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas• Approximately 2+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense• Familiarity with general liability, premises, or auto liability claims• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple files• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney:
• Handle your own caseload of litigated insurance defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, and minor auto claims• Draft responsive pleadings, motions, and discovery requests• Conduct depositions, prepare legal research, and participate in motion practice• Collaborate with senior attorneys and gain direct litigation exposure• Contribute to a supportive, high-performance team with hybrid work flexibility
Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
• Trial prep experience or familiarity with high-volume litigation environments• Exposure to first-party insurance or commercial auto claims• Interest in long-term growth and professional development
