Brief team/department description:


The Alliance Management Team is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting contract partners or service providers, such as API suppliers, CMOs, and TPLs, to support Azurity’s in-house development products and commercial supply. Additionally, the team negotiates proposals, contracts, and MSAs, monitors project progress at partner sites, and manages relationships with service providers, internal/external partners, and BD partners.

Principle Responsibilities:


  • Identify and evaluate suitable CDMOs/CMOs for R&D needs, assessing their technical capabilities, expertise, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Support SCM & R&D teams in selecting and conducting diligence on API sources.
  • Coordinate with R&D and CMOs for technology transfer proposals, change orders (COs), and negotiate scope, price, and timelines to meet internal R&D requirements.
  • Perform COGS analysis and finalize API and CReMO supply prices for commercial supply.
  • Coordinate between CDMOs, CMOs, API vendors, and internal legal teams to finalize contracts, quotes, supply agreements, master service agreements, etc.
  • Organize and attend periodic meetings with R&D teams to understand their development needs (API, CMO for technology transfer, CTOs) and challenges faced with external partners.
  • Attend project review meetings with CMO partners to ensure alignment between partners and internal teams, and to identify systemic issues requiring alliance management intervention.
  • Organize and attend periodic meetings with API suppliers and CMO partners to resolve open issues such as pricing, open POs & change orders, delayed services, pending invoices, etc.
  • Coordinate with R&D, TO, RA, Quality, and SCM teams for evaluation, diligence, and qualification of new CMOs, API vendors, or third-party testing labs.
  • Work with finance to resolve payment-related issues, including payment terms and pending invoices.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with CDMO/CMO partners, proactively resolving issues impacting cost, timelines, or project deliverables.

Qualifications


  • 10-20 years of experience in R&D, BD, project management, SCM areas within the pharma industry.
  • Experience in project management (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
