This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components for the position of Manager of Aircraft Maintenance Planning.
General
This is a full-time position that will report to the Director of Maintenance and engage with all facets and leaders within Technical Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of CFR’s and standard 14CFR 121 policies and procedures with an emphasis on CASS. Good communication skills are required. This individual must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working within and outside of Technical Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration of the CASS program and reporting requirements.
- Continuing optimization of Company maintenance program.
- Ensuring the quality of Maintenance Program Manual (MPM) administration processes and procedures (e.g., currency, consistency, distribution, availability of the manual) and adherence to current regulatory and Company requirements.
- Continuously review CASS outputs and recommend, create, and distribute mitigations to improve fleet safety, operational readiness, performance, and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain and revise work instructions for the approved Maintenance Program.
- Facilitate integrating new and previously operated aircraft into the applicable Maintenance Program.
- Coordinating the development of program requirements and work documents for the operation of the Aircraft Storage Program.
- Research, maintain data, and monitor trends concerning aircraft maintenance, labor hours, span time, and other requirements.
- In conjunction with Maintenance Planning, develop planning activities related to changes in aircraft fleets, including, but not limited to, aircraft acquisition (new and used), leasing, disposal, lease returns, aircraft painting, and modifications.
- Ensuring the Company provides safe, regulatory, compliant, reliable, and on-time maintenance for Company aircraft.
- Develop internal Engineering Orders, Fleet Campaigns, other work instructions, and company policy and procedures.
- Assist and provide guidance on major and minor determinations.
- Negotiate and facilitate with 3rd party suppliers, engineering firms, and other entities as necessary.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher education
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- A minimum of Three (3) years’ experience with maintenance programs, CASS, and Engineering documents
- Two (2) years’ minimum experience with Boeing aircraft in a part 121 environment required.
- Two (2) years’ experience working as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician
- Proficient with accessing online aircraft manuals and other related publications
- Ability to work with all levels of management and contract vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively; in both oral and written communication
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards
- Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Some travel required
- 737 experience in the above capacities (preferred)
- Engineering Degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
