The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Strategic Partnerships Manager to expand and sustain our network of funders and collaborators. This position plays a key role in securing support for transformative educational programs by managing donor relationships, writing grants, and coordinating sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities
- EITC Program Management: Steward corporate donors and manage compliance/reporting as part of Pennon’s participation in PA’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
- Grant Writing & Management: Research funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and coordinate deliverables with internal teams.
- Sponsorship Development: Lead fundraising for signature community programs like Ready, Set, Explore, Kids Night Out, The Youth Voice Imperative, and summer day camps.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners; evolve the role to meet emerging strategic needs.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or partnership management—nonprofit or education sector preferred.
- Proven grant-writing and sponsorship development experience.
- Strong understanding of the education landscape, funding trends, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel locally (70%) and occasionally overnight (<10%).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances (Act 34, 151, 114, and 126).
