Summary:
We’re looking for a Director, Brand to lead and enhance the creation and distribution of content that helps take our brand to the next level. In this role, you’ll manage our in-house creative team, social media team, and partner closely with the Growth and Retention teams to conceptualize and execute creative, content, and activations, ensuring that our brand shows up consistently across channels. The successful candidate will have a social-first mindset, bring fresh creative ideas, and seamlessly work across teams to create output that fuels brand love, drives organic conversation, and amplifies cultural relevance. Your responsibilities: Creative Direction

  • Lead in-house creative team to develop high-performing creative assets and campaigns that drive growth, engagement, and loyalty.  
  • Guide the conception and execution of brand campaigns, performance marketing and new business initiatives.   
  • Gather a large network of freelance talent that can quickly be deployed to any creative need of the business. 

Social & Content

  • Own and evolve our organic social strategy across platforms, and develop a content strategy for each channel. 
  • Lead and manage a growing Social Media function that focuses on growing Instagram and achieving distribution on TikTok/Reels, while elevating the brand. 
  • Develop an overarching content strategy that connects social to our brand narrative, cultural moments and aligns with brand and business objectives. 
  • Leverage our in-house creatives, freelance creators and other partners to develop a scalable content engine.  
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset and stay ahead of platform trends.   

Production

  • Support production efforts by bringing a hands-on approach and a ‘craft’ mindset. 
  • Oversee the production of content from quick-turn social videos to larger scale campaigns.  
  • Bring a scrappy and resourceful approach to concepting, storyboarding and scripting.  

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively across all customer facing groups including Partnerships, Retention and Growth and be seen as the 'go-to' for all things culture and social.
  • Collaborate with external partners when needed to amplify brand reach and impact. 

Over time

  • Support adjacent functions such as Partnerships, PR, BOTM Live or Events.  

About you… 

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative direction, or social strategy at a consumer or lifestyle brand, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience 
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a content-driven brand
  • Social-native thinker who understands what makes content perform across channels
  • Experience building and leading creative and social teams 
  • A strategic, creative leader with a pulse on culture and internet trends 
  • Passion for fiction books

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000
