The Details:
- Location: Remote, but living outside of Chicago, IL is a HUGE PLUS
- Shift: Regular Business Hours
- Pay: $160K - $170K annually (eligible for an annual bonus as well)
What You’ll Do:
As Senior Director of Finance, you’ll be at the heart of our financial strategy, operations, and leadership. Your key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and executive leadership to define and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Develop and execute financing strategies to support corporate growth, acquisitions, and capital project.
- Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for business units.
- Prepare and present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the board and senior leadership.
- Oversee all finance operations including accounting, FP&A, and operational finance.
Team Development
- Inspire and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Build strategic thinking and business acumen to finance team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with leaders across departments to ensure financial strategies support operational priorities.
- Represent finance in strategic planning sessions and board meetings.
Systems Optimization
- Leverage ERP and payroll systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Paylocity) to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and financial accountability.
Financial Reporting
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and transparency in all financial communications.
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- CPA highly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles such as Controller or equivalent. MSP experience is a plus!
- Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting principles, and operational finance.
- Experience scaling finance functions in high-growth environments.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (ERP, payroll, reporting platforms).
- Strong understanding of compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Living outside of Chicago, IL would be a huge plus! You could meet with the executive team easily!
