The selected candidate will join the CFO area and work closely with the Asset Management and Treasury Lead on various activities across treasury management, asset management, and strategic investments for ecosystem support.This position provides the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within one of these focus areas, fostering professional growth and the chance to drive impactful initiatives.Responsibilities1.
Treasury and Cash Management
- Enhance, and oversee the treasury management strategy and operations, ensuring liquidity optimization and efficient cash flow planning.
- Oversee a variety of financial assets to optimize returns while managing risk effectively.
- Monitor and report key treasury metrics, including liquidity levels, cash forecasts, and investment performance.
2. Asset Management
- Support the management of liquid and illiquid investment portfolios.
- Enhance and maintain risk management frameworks to assess and mitigate financial risks associated with asset holdings.
- Conduct performance reviews of insourced portfolio and external asset managers, prepare detailed reports with actionable insights, and build internal tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce outsourcing.
3. Strategic Investments for Ecosystem Support
- Support New Business initiatives analysis
- Support due diligence on potential new VC partnerships, maintain and strengthen ongoing relationships with VC fund managers, monitor portfolio performance, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Ecosystem Growth team to support ecosystem initiatives, foster partnerships, and expand the foundation’s network.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in the blockchain and DeFi space to contribute to investment strategy and identify potential opportunities.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and tax advisors to ensure proper governance, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation across strategic investments.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, treasury, and asset management, with a combination of these being a plus.
- Project management skills, ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
- Proficiency in MS and/or Google work tools (incl. Automation and Prototyping)
- Hands-on, problem solver and innovative
- Result orientated with a high attention to detail and dedication towards quality and improvement
- The ability to travel internationally if required
- High affinity to tech and curiosity towards crypto/blockchain technology
- Excellent communication skills in English
A Plus
- Previous experience with financial modelling and/or risk management
- Familiarity and/or experience with handling crypto wallets, payments and transactions
- Passionate about financial markets and investment strategies
- A strong interest in the Web 3.0 movement, blockchain and other decentralized technologies
