Includes commissions tool development, calculating sales and partner commissions payments, and communicating payment information to Sales & Channel Partners.

Establishes business processes and best practices to ensure commission data integrity and calculations are accurate and comply with Sales Compensation Plans or Partner Agreements. 

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and audit information needed to track sales revenue/eligible billings and commissions to sales and eligible channel partners.
  • Gather data and prepare commission calculations, reports, uploads, and data files.
  • Audit commission and payment files, identify and resolve data integrity issues, and implement best practices.
  • Implement system and data changes to resolve integrity issues.
  • Establish policy and process for documentation and monthly administration in compliance with internal/external controls.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve reporting to track data effectively.
  • Resolve complex reconciliation issues.
  • Serve as point of contact for all commission-related questions and escalations, including communication of resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Managed Services Provider (MSP) and coordinate with VP of Sales Operations.
  • Maintain and update complex logic in systems (e.g., CaptivateIQ) to accommodate data and system changes.
  • Identify and eliminate system programming defects.
  • Evaluate and improve best practices and document necessary system configurations.
  • Lead business conversations on compensation plan development and provide analysis on metric impacts.
  • Manage changes to Sales Compensation Plans and Partner Agreements in systems and tools.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for auditors and consultants.
  • Determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • Provide guidance and training to new team members.
  • Mentor others and serve as escalation point to ensure team redundancy.

Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
  • Requires 3–5 years of related work experience in commissions, sales operations, and/or payroll processing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience may substitute for education at a rate of 3 years of experience to 1 year of education (at the manager’s discretion).
  • A combination of education and experience may be used.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including writing and applying formulas.
  • Advanced knowledge of commissions processing tools and systems (e.g., Oracle, Callidus, SAP, CaptivateIQ).
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Good logic and math skills.
  • Experience functioning independently and leading informally or through mentoring.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to foresee and lead through change.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and challenge the status quo
