Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Delivery Manager to oversee the entire product delivery process, ensuring that a product is developed and released on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing resources to keep projects on track. The Product Delivery Manager ensures that the team delivers a valuable product that meets the defined goals and expectations, while maintaining a smooth and efficient development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling:
They define timelines, milestones, and dependencies for product development, ensuring a clear roadmap for delivery.
They allocate resources effectively, ensuring the right people with the right skills are available at the right time.
They identify potential risks to the project and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Communication and Collaboration:
They facilitate communication between various teams (development, QA, marketing, etc.) and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting:
They monitor progress against the plan, identify bottlenecks, and report on status to stakeholders.
They ensure that the product meets the required quality standards throughout the development process.
They often work within agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
They proactively identify and remove roadblocks that hinder the team's progress.
Qualifications
- Min. 7+ years (ideally 10+ years) of experience in project management, particularly from initiation to completion, as well as with the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond
- Min. a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or PRINCE2 Practitioner demonstrating expertise in project management and agile methodologies is desirable.
- Familiarity with and experience in applying agile principles and frameworks (like Scrum or Kanban) is essential.
- Experience working with diverse teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) is vital.
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients is often necessary.
- Experience with data analytics tools, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and client reporting frameworks.
