The Director of Business Development will lead all Eagle sales activities within assigned market segment, to achieve sales objectives, maximize profitability goals and increase market share.
What You Will Do
- Develop strategies, goals, provide analysis, and develop new business ventures
- Build effective relationships with key decision-makers and initiate, quantify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned market segment
- Develop business plan consistent with short and long-term objectives related to revenue goals and market share growth
- Provide direction to ensure that the regional goals and objectives are aligned with Eagle business strategy
- Ensure delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
- Review and assess individual sales performance within the team and mentor to improve individual sales performance and personal development and hire two sales representatives
- Identify strategic opportunities and provide strategic direction based on knowledge of competitive strategy and understanding of customer needs
- Ensures that national sales objectives are in line with corporate objectives
- Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOW) and drafting client contracts.
- Track client relationship within the company’s CRM system and provide information for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts for client Book of Business
- Participate in professional associations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain
- Assist with related special projects, as required
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years with a proven track record in a sales leadership role
- Five years of sales experience as a field representative
- Proven ability to present and communicate effectively to small and large group settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent project management, presentation and training skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work independently in a deadline oriented environment
- Proven sales leadership skills
- Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proven track record in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Medical Device or related industries, a plus
- MBA, a plus
