Field Operations Supervisor


The Field Operations Supervisors’ responsibilities include providing guidance and support to direct reports, assisting with recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with other departments. You should be able to travel frequently and stand for long periods of time.To be successful as a Field Operations Supervisor, you should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Outstanding candidates can analyze processes and develop effective improvement strategies.

This is a working Supervisor position and working duties may include but are not limited to:


  • Installing equipment at customer premises or core sites.
  • Working Site Tracker projects to help with the workload.
  • Dispatching or working on trouble tickets.
  • Helping direct reports with physical work if needed.
  • Duties that may be assigned by Manager.

Field Operations Supervisor Responsibilities:


  • Manage and control execution of day-to-day activities in the assigned areas.
  • Work with different departments to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Making sure that the network is operating at peak performance.
  • Working with contractors and vendors to gather quotes and repair existing infrastructure. 
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to other field staff.
  • Ensuring that customer or network issues are taken care of in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that direct reports are completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Approving time and PTO requests for direct reports.
  • Assigning projects to direct reports.
  • Maintaining records.

Field Operations Supervisor Requirements:


  • Knowledge of Telecom Industry standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment used within the network and at customer premises.
  • Experience in a supervisor or leadership role would be advantageous.
  • Deadline-driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and train staff members.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership qualities.
  • Should be able to communicate in a clear manner.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
  • Strong external and internal customer service skills.
  • Have solid computer skills.
  • Be able to multitask.
