DYCO ELECTRONICS - PLANNER
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Planner to join our team. The Manufacturing Planner will be responsible for coordinating and planning all production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency, cost, and quality. You will work closely with production, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials and resources, while maintaining optimal production schedules and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling:Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand while ensuring minimal downtime. Coordinate production runs and manage any adjustments to schedules as needed.
- Material Planning:Ensure the timely availability of materials and components by working with the purchasing and inventory teams. Monitor stock levels and lead times to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
- Capacity Management:Analyze production capacity and identify any potential issues that may affect delivery timelines. Adjust schedules and resources accordingly to maximize efficiency.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning:Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to forecast future demand and adjust production schedules to align with anticipated customer orders.
- Problem-Solving:Address any production or material-related issues, such as delays, quality concerns, or equipment malfunctions. Proactively develop contingency plans to minimize disruption.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like lead time, production output, and inventory levels.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:Work closely with operations, engineering, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure all production processes meet quality standards and are running smoothly.
- Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve product quality.
- Compliance & Safety:Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations during all stages of production planning.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience:3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing planning or production control role, preferably within [industry-specific details, e.g., automotive, electronics, etc.].
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Other:

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
