International Accounting Manager

We are looking for an International Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy and compliance of Ouster's global financial operations. This role is crucial for managing financial reporting across multiple countries, navigating diverse tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards like GAAP and IFRS. You should have a deep understanding of the entire accounting close cycle, be detail-oriented, hands-on, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements for international subsidiaries, adhering to local statutory requirements, IFRS, and GAAP. This includes preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, for international entities.
  • Coordinate reporting deadlines across international locations for timely public and statutory financial reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance international accounting policies and internal controls, ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Tax Team on statutory financial reports, intercompany contributions, and transfer pricing.
  • Assist with quarterly international tax schedules (e.g., VAT/GST) and respond to foreign tax notices/audits.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for international entities and statutory audits.
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting and other special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; with international accounting designation is a plus.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in international operations. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large national firm) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and exposure to IFRS or local GAAP in other countries.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and multi-currency reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software ERP systems (Netsuite preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external service providers globallyThe base pay will be dependent on your skills, work experience, location, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for equity & benefits. ($100,000 - $186,000)
