To learn more, visit goinfinitum.com.Position: BuyerLocation: North Austin, TX (Onsite)OverviewAs a Buyer at Infinitum, you will ensure timely acquisition of materials, parts and services in accordance with company policies and cost‑reduction objectives. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain accurate lead times, manage purchase orders and support production schedules.Key Responsibilities• Place purchase orders and manage reschedules and updates as required.• Follow up on purchase orders to prevent or minimize shortages and expedite past due orders.• Obtain pricing and delivery quotes, negotiate cost savings and prepare cost comparisons.• Track supplier confirmations and update the ERP system with current lead times and delivery dates.• Prepare reports to ensure on‑time delivery performance and manage open order reports.• Maintain supplier file data, including lead times and costs, and support supplier onboarding.• Collaborate with engineers and production planners to ensure materials meet specifications.Required Qualifications• Minimum 5 years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.• Proficiency with ERP systems; ability to navigate supply chain software and Microsoft Office.• Knowledge of supply chain processes and cost management techniques.• Ability to interpret engineering parts lists, drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).• Self‑starter with strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or equivalent.• Experience working with overseas suppliers and knowledge of Plex or NetSuite.Education• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or a related field.BenefitsInfinitum offers comprehensive benefits, including:• Medical, dental and vision coverage with multiple plan options.• Company‑paid basic life, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage.• Mental health resources and support.• Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) with company contributions.• 401(k) plan with company match.• Generous paid time off (PTO) and 12 paid holidays.• Employer‑paid membership to Bright Horizons for child and elder care support.
