Our vision is to become the full-service end-of-life and memorialization destination.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee the revenue accounting function. This role requires expertise in US GAAP, complex accounting processes, and the ability to manage evolving business needs in an entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical skills and a proven track record in both public and/or private accounting environments. 

This role is hybrid with the requirement of being onsite 3 days a week. 


Key Responsibilities


· Manage revenue accounting processes for e-commerce, publishing, and advertising, and related revenue share, ensuring proper revenue recognition and accounting· Prepare and review  complex revenue calculations across all Legacy companies and post journal entries with accurate coding to channels, products and other categories in accordance with established deadlines· Prepare, review and approve account reconciliations, calculations and journal entries · Perform detailed analysis on balances, margin, and other revenue-related KPIs.

Investigate variances and resolve issues· Assess accounts receivable aging balances, follow up on and collaborate with stakeholders to keep accounts current· Issue customer invoices and statements accurately and in timely manner· Act as main point of contact with customers’ accounting departments for onboarding, setting up payment methods, resolution of issues and other ad-hoc requests· Work closely with the Operations and Marketing teams to understand business requirements and drive continuous improvements· Assess the implication of changes in revenue related processes, propose solutions and drive needed updates · Act as subject matter expert and key point of contact for revenue invoicing, collections and revenue recognition related matters· Design and implement processes to record new product revenue· Partner with cross-functional teams in data and engineering to enhance data quality and streamline revenue reporting from multiple systems· Manage all revenue-related external audit requests· Manage, mentor and develop direct reports· Assist with ad-hoc projects as assignedRequirements· Bachelor’s degree in accounting· CPA certification required· 5+ years of accounting experience· Industry experience in revenue accounting and reporting· Background in public accounting (Big Four or large national audit firm experience preferred) a plus· High-volume journal entry recording and multi-entity GL experience preferred· Experience with QuickBooks and Great Plains a plus but not required· Must be able to demonstrate an expert level/mastery of Excel· High level of efficiency and accuracy· Highly organized with strong attention to detail· Ability to analyze large amounts of data· People management experience a plus· Demonstrated ability to manage and establish new processes· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Final compensation is determined based on a variety of factors such as experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.


Salary Description$110k - 140k + Bonus
