Summary:


The IRONMAN Group is a global company with operations around the world in EMEA, Oceania, Asia and North America. The tax accounting intern program is to help students receive hands on learning experiences that will help them develop their knowledge and skillset in their field of major. The position will provide exposure and hands on learning opportunities to indirect tax compliance, financial accounting matters as it relates to indirect taxes, and other tax-related projects. 

Primary Internship Responsibilities:


  • Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Learn the fundamentals of indirect tax compliance in a global environment 
  • Learn the fundamentals of direct tax compliance
  • Learn the fundamentals of accounting, including chart of accounts, coding of journal entries and ERP systems
  • Discover the assembly of reports in connection with tax compliance
  • Assist with various aspects of domestic and international indirect tax compliance
  • Assemble data required to file tax returns
  • Perform reconciliations of tax accounts
  • Prepare general ledger entries
  • Perform tax research

Requirements

Skills and knowledge


  • Must be in process of earning a degree in accounting or finance related field. 
  • Excellent organizational skill and interpersonal communication.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel, Intermediate level preferred
