DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.  Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. 


SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for the overall management, support, training, and development of the inside sales and customer service representatives. This includes the processing and execution of all customer interactions, including customer inquiries, quoting, follow-up, order processing, and support tasks required for the sales process. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  


  • Develop and oversee implementation of all policies, guidelines, and procedures that govern the inside sales team including but not limited to, performance criteria, performance metrics, and scripting strategies that increase caller engagement and sales 

  • Implement technology solutions, systems and processes to track sales activities, pipeline management, and customer interactions effectively 

  • Lead the development of annual inside sales goals and customer service metrics in collaboration with FP&A  

  • Develop data analytics capabilities using all available data to identify trends and inform continuous refinement of the inside sales strategy  

  • Review trends and drive change that will improve customer service, more effectively utilize resources and ensure service and sales levels are achieved or exceeded 

  • Utilize technology solutions to develop dashboard capabilities detailing progress of performance metrics 

  • Analyze customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and penetration within existing customer bases 

  • Set and monitor adherence to individual sales targets for each inside sales representative to ensure alignment with the company’s goals. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to remain competitive in the wholesale food distribution market. 

  • Prepare documentation and reports on routine customer correspondence for future reference purposes (via CRM system). 

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, pricing initiatives, and product offerings. 

  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the company’s brands, systems, and processes. 

  • Educate customers about the organization’s products or services. 

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of inside sales representatives to achieve sales targets and objectives and perform annual reviews, appraisals, and performance management reviews 

  • Hire and train staff to deliver best in class customer service  

SKILLS REQUIRED: 


  • Experience with a CRM solution and sales tools as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills   

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present data clearly and concisely   

  • Ability to address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams   

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management (preferred) 

  • 5+ years sales management experience or leading an inside sales department (required) 

  • Food service experience (preferred) 

  • Experience with CRM and contact center technology (preferred)
