About the Role:
We are seeking a Professional Services Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and Azure, and strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation, to support our customers. This is a remote-first role, ideal for candidates who thrive in distributed teams and excel at cross-functional collaboration in virtual environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to assess infrastructure needs and deliver secure, compliant, and resilient cloud solutions.Design and implement HIPAA-compliant architectures on AWS and Azure.Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.Lead remote cloud migration and modernization projectsWork cross-functionally with security, compliance, DevOps, and application teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.Foster strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication, regular updates, and collaborative problem-solving.Create detailed documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks for client environments.Conduct remote training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams and customers.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, professional services, or consulting roles.Proven experience with AWS and Azure cloud services in regulated environments.Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.Strong understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.).Demonstrated success working in remote or distributed teams with strong collaboration skills.Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and client engagement.AWS and/or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with healthcare providers, payers, or health tech companies.Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless, VPC networking architectures.Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog).Understanding of identity and access management in healthcare environments.
