About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (OneShop) to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will architect, build, and scale the infrastructure and core services that power our applications. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable systems, managing cloud infrastructure, and enhancing our development workflows.The ideal candidate has deep experience with Node.js, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes, and a solid understanding of React for frontend system integration.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using GCP, including services like GKE, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and service deployment strategies
- Collaborate with frontend teams using React to build seamless end-to-end experiences
- Implement best practices for observability, monitoring, logging, and security
- Drive technical discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
- Lead initiatives to improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance
- Stay current with industry trends and advocate for continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a platform or DevOps-focused role
- Proficient in Node.js for backend service development
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and associated services
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container-based architecture
- Familiarity with frontend integration using React
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or similar)
- Proficient with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred:
- Experience in microservices architecture and service mesh
- Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or other real-time communication protocols
- Experience with serverless platforms or edge computing
- Contributions to open-source projects
