The Opportunity:


As a Senior Data Product Manager at commercetools, you will define and execute the strategy for our data products, ensuring they deliver actionable insights and drive business value for our customers. You will work cross-functionally to enhance our data infrastructure, enable AI and analytics capabilities, and integrate data-driven solutions across our commerce ecosystem.Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global commerce as part of our passionate Product Management team at commercetools.

This role offers a hybrid work environment with three days a week in our local office. We are able to consider candidates based in or close to Berlin, Germany, or Valencia, Spain, for this role.


Your Mission:


  • Develop and own the roadmap for data products, aligning with business and customer needs
  • Collaborate with engineering to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing data infrastructure
  • Define and drive use cases for AI, analytics, and automation that enhance merchant decision-making
  • Ensure seamless integration of data products with commercetools’ broader ecosystem and third-party tools
  • Work closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and customers to prioritize and deliver high-impact solutions
  • Define success metrics and measure the impact of data initiatives on customer and business outcomes
  • Shape your way of working - we believe in strong and independent teams

What you need to succeed:


  • Strong background in data product management, preferably in B2B SaaS or commerce technology
  • Experience with data infrastructure, analytics platforms, and AI/ML applications
  • Proven ability to work with engineering teams to ship data-driven products
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience as a Data Product Manager driving product initiatives with modern discovery and delivery techniques
  • General knowledge of digital commerce and security best practices
  • Basic understanding of APIs, SaaS products, and security frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build strong relationships and engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients
