Specializing in a wide range of consulting, accounting, tax advisory, and compliance services, we focus on helping our clients build and achieve their goals.We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in government contracting. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) coupled with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
This role will involve working closely with government contractor clients, providing specialized accounting services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare or assist clients with accounting transaction entry or clean up as well as preparing government contracting compliant invoices for FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
- Prepare and review financial statements and indirect cost rate calculations for government contractor clients.
- Assist clients in resolving accounting issues related to government contracts, including cost allowability and allocability.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality accounting solutions and exceed client expectations.
- Stay updated on changes in government contracting regulations and accounting standards and apply knowledge to client engagements.
- Deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 2-3 years of experience in government contracting.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet) preferred, but not required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
