We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our fast-paced and high-performing accounting team. This role will be instrumental in scaling our accounting operations, improving processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives as we grow. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and support the Global Controller in managing the monthly close, audits, accounting process optimization, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Accounting Operations


  • Lead and support the month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Assist with the consolidation of international entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of global financial reporting.
  • Conduct flux analysis on key balance sheet and P&L accounts to identify significant variances and provide insight into business drivers.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, and intercompany transactions.

Controls & Compliance


  • Support the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing the external audit process and ensure compliance with SOX.
  • Monitor internal controls and help implement improvements to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

Team Leadership & Collaboration


  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting team members
  • Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Revenue, Legal, HR, and others to support accounting-related processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Global Controller to identify and lead process automation and system enhancement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS 


  • CPA certification is required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or high-growth SaaS company.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices.
  • Experience with international consolidations and variance/flux analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite and FloQast or other modern ERP and close tools is a plus.
  • Understands operational scaling and operating like a public company 
  • Strong analytical and executive-level communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
  • High integrity, discretion, and a problem-solving mindset.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $###,### - $192,000 USD. 


Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
