Retention Marketing Manager

We're looking for a strong Retention Marking Manager to join our team and lead our retention strategy and emerging CRM Channels.

What You’ll Do


  • Own our retention strategy across email and emerging CRM channels.
  • Plan and execute the promo calendar, working closely with our digital ad agency.
  • Build and optimize journeys and automations—from lead gen and welcome to replenishment and win-back.
  • Manage campaign planning, QA, segmentation and A/B testing in Klaviyo.
  • Oversee our subscription program (through Skio) and brainstorm churn-reducing strategies leveraging different touchpoints and available tools.
  • Partner with creative, ecommerce, and product teams to brief and deploy personalized, performance-aligned messaging.
  • Partner with CX to assist with squashing bugs, implementing changes based on customer feedback and analyzing VOC insights.
  • Evaluate, refine & launch new channels: loyalty, referral/ambassador programs, sponsored events, retail activations, compliant SMS and affiliate networks.
  • Analyze CRM and retention performance across key customer cohorts.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance across Shopify, Klaviyo and additional tools.

What You Bring


  • 6+ years in retention or lifecycle marketing—DTC experience is preferred
  • 2+ years working with Shopify (preferably recent experience or familiarity with platform changes/updates over time).
  • Deep knowledge of Klaviyo as well as experience with loyalty/referral software, subscription software and common retention marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with CRM dashboards, ecommerce reporting tools and customer segmentation.
  • Data instincts: the ability to define/slice cohorts, look at LTV/CAC through different lenses and understand attribution modeling to tell a crisp story.
  • Operator mindset: bias for action, MVP over analysis-paralysis, budget-conscious.
  • Excellent project-management chops: you hit deadlines and ensure the team (both internal & external) stays on target.
  • Comfortable in Figma – you’ll be supported by a dedicated design team but able to collaborate effectively on design and copy.
  • A passion for plant-based wellness.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with regulated or age-gated categories (CBD, supplements, alcohol, etc.) is a plus.
  • Nice-to-have: experience launching referral programs, supporting in-person events and partnering with retailers for targeted activations.
