This is a permanent, full-time and hybrid role, working from home and the office.
The role:
We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and improve the deployment of our SaaS platform — with a strong focus on AWS serverless infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD. You’ll also support legacy systems as part of a broader uplift program.
As a DevOps Engineer at Verra Mobility you will:
- Build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation)
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo)
- Manage Kubernetes-based services (EKS) and container workflows
- Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent cloud provisioning
- Support legacy platform stability and CI/CD uplift
- Monitor system health (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) and lead incident resolution (P1/P2)
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to root cause analysis
- Work across engineering, support, and product teams in agile delivery
What you bring
- 3+ years in DevOps or Cloud roles, ideally within SaaS or high-availability platforms
- Strong AWS experience (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route53, OpenSearch etc.)
- Proficiency with Shell, Python or PowerShell
- IaC with CloudFormation, Terraform or similar
- Git, Jira, SonarQube, Veracode, and containerisation/Kubernetes (EKS)
- Linux admin experience and sound grasp of network/security fundamentals
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
