The Opportunity
TECKpert's client, a government agency in Florida, is undertaking a multi-year project to modernize its financial management systems. This initiative is critical to the continuity of their business operations and involves replacing existing accounting and cash management systems with a new solution. For this project, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in business process analysis and systems analysis to join our client's remediation team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing and documenting the impact of new financial management solutions on critical business functions, processes, and computing assets.
This role requires a professional who can work across multiple business units, coordinate with subject matter experts, and contribute to re-engineering efforts to align with standardized business process models and redeveloped interfaces.Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Research and understand business processes and their inter-relationships in the department.
- Research and document impacts on agency business systems in relation to the implementation.
- Facilitate joint analysis workshops with the business units.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with data migration and development teams.
- Create detailed use cases, business rules, and requirements.
- Develop Test Plans and Test Cases.
- Coordinate testing and quality assurance efforts.
- Perform oversight reviews of deliverables for compliance with department standards.
Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $105,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Qualifications you
need
A successful Business Analyst has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field.
- Five (5) years of solid business/systems analysis experience and software development projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience working with Microsoft DevOps is highly desired.
- Experience with data migration.
- Knowledge of change and release management.
- Knowledge of testing and quality assurance tools and techniques.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft products: SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Project.
- Ability to relate to stakeholders’ needs, document their requirements, and perform duties in the absence of staff.
- Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others.
- Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments.
- Initiative, communication, customer service, decision-making, flexibility, interpersonal skills, leadership, problem-solving, team-building, quality assurance.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is highly desired.
