ABOUT THE ROLE


Shinola is seeking a strategic and performance-driven Email Marketing Manager to oversee and elevate one of our most critical revenue-driving channels. This individual will manage our email process and channel, email marketing agency, own the end-to-end email calendar, and collaborate cross-functionally to execute high-impact campaigns that drive growth, engagement, retention, and conversion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Own and manage Shinola’s email marketing channel with a focus on growth, performance, and customer engagement.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and project lead for Shinola’s email marketing agency — driving creative alignment, performance optimization, and executional excellence.
  • Build and manage the email campaign calendar, ensuring alignment across product launches, brand campaigns, retail moments, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Partner with Creative, Merchandising, Planning, and eCommerce teams to ensure timely delivery of assets, messaging, and segmentation.
  • Oversee testing and optimization strategies (subject lines, send times, creative, etc.) to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with agency and internal teams on email list health, segmentation, and lifecycle strategies including triggers, flows, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing regular insights and recommendations to improve results and maximize ROI.
  • Ensure brand consistency, tone, and visual standards across all email communications.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, preferably at a DTC or omnichannel retail brand.
  • Strong understanding of email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Figma, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or equivalent) and CRM strategy.
  • Experience managing or working closely with an email agency or vendor partner.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong grasp of performance metrics and testing strategies.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and an eye for design and copy alignment with brand standards.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
