Trueline is seeking a Project Manager (Civil Engineering) to lead impactful projects out of Maine. You’ll be steering civil engineering initiatives from concept to completion overseeing timelines, budgets, and quality while nurturing client relationships and helping grow the business.

What You'll Do as the Project Manager (Civil Engineering):


  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from kickoff through close-out
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, surveyors, construction pros)
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and detailed work plans
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions
  • Serve as primary client liaison manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations
  • Review and approve technical documents, plans, and reports
  • Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative team culture
  • Support business development efforts: proposals, presentations, scope definition
  • Actively participate in industry groups and promote the firm in the community

Must Haves as the Project Manager (Civil Engineering):


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience (P.E. license preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with clients, teams, and regulators
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service mindset and confidentiality in professional practice
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and processes
  • Independent judgment and ownership while championing teamwork and respect

Nice to Haves as the Project Manager (Civil Engineering):


  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design platforms
  • Active membership in civil engineering associations and participation in industry events
  • Experience with recruiting or mentoring emerging engineers
