Presales Solution Architect - ERS/DG

The successful candidate must have extensive DBMS and Data Modeling experience, as well as a background in
software tools and languages. The successful candidate must also possess excellent sales, communication, andpresentation skills. The Presales Solution Architect supports the Sales team in the sale of cross platform database life cycle management tools including design and re-engineering tools. The Presales Solution Architect also works closely with the Product Development team to advise on and contribute to current and future product feature sets and to represent customer needs. The Presales Solution Architect also assists in the communication of technical data to both current and prospective users of the products.

The Presales Solution Architect must be a self-starting, hardworking and dedicated person who is committed winning Sales opportunities and Customer success.Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical sales support (e.g., product presentations, architecture reviews, POC's, RFP responses, and webinars) with the Sales team on Sales Opportunities.
  • Act as a technical resource for the Sales and Marketing departments for communicating highly technical information in a clear, concise format that users can easily understand.
  • Interface with internal Product Development personnel to communicate market needs and customer satisfaction and issues.
  • Participate as a key contributor to Company and product direction and future opportunities.
  • Review and compare competing products on a regular basis.Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive skills and experiences with the following DBMS platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Big Query and Redshift.
  • 3-5 years of sales consulting or customer-facing service delivery experience with emphasis on Solution selling.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work well in groups and interact with people from all disciplines.Desired Qualities:

  • Experience with Database Modeling, Administration, and Development.
  • Experience with Database Architecture and Meta Data Management.
  • Experience with data modeling software and data re-engineering tools.
  • Experience with the Windows operating systems.
  • Prior database and data source development experience (DDL, SQL, and JSON preferred).
  • Willing to travel at least 5 days per month.
