JOB SUMMARY 


As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will review aerospace and commercial documents/parts that are fabricated and processed by Skills Inc. for compliance to engineering specifications, AS9100, NADCAP, and company quality system requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


•Validate and correct performance monitoring data.•Interpret data, analyze results, and provide detailed reports for reporting and communications needs.•Create First Article Inspection Reports for entry into Net-Inspect •Identify opportunities through data analysis for process improvement and increased efficiency.•Use methodical and systemic analytical approaches to perform effective Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA).•Develop, document, and deliver end-user training on changes and enhancements to process improvements.•Track and report status of Corrective Actions and quality performance data.•Assess quality performance trends and lead corrective action efforts. •Participate in and contribute towards process improvement initiatives and goals.•Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.•Comply with all federal, state, company and customer requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 


•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with concrete and abstract variables.•Experience with the manufacture, fabrication, assembly, application of protective finishes, and inspection of structural aerospace products.•Advanced knowledge of quality engineering theories, principles, inspection techniques, tools and equipment.  •Advanced knowledge of aerospace and commercial drawings, blueprints, parts lists and associated documents.•Advanced computer literacy in a Windows environment including proficiency with MS Office.•Excellent at technical writing.•Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers.•Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and operational functions. •Excellent attention to detail.•Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects in a timely manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS


•Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.    •Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.

This means that information and/or documentation acquired about employees, suppliers, customers, business practices, and all other related information remains confidential.  PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE•Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through a minimum of five (5) years direct experience or three (3) years of related experience and 2-year technical degree.

SALARY DESCRIPTION


Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Skills Inc. is a self-supporting Social Enterprise and is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit. We have three lines of business: Aerospace Manufacturing, Aerospace Finishing, and Business Solutions, that operate in 2 locations. Skills Inc. employs over 250 people and our social mission is to train, employ and serve persons with disabilities.

We accomplish our mission three ways; direct hire, vocational programs and services, and as a resource to the community.

Salary Range: $27.00-$37.00
