Role Overview:


We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Director of IT Finance Systems to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our financial systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise, business acumen, and proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop, execute, and maintain a long-term roadmap for finance systems aligned with business goals and transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and executive leadership to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead strategic planning for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations across platforms.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, particularly within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure ecosystems, to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 15–20 IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workload and project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems (e.g., Contract Management System, Claims, Cancellations, Data Warehouse).
  • Lead the design and development of solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide continued support and guidance on legacy finance systems, Microsoft Great Plains (GP).
  • Ensure system industry standard compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, security, and audit requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and Finance, ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business needs.
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and report progress.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decision-making.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:


  • Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT with a focus on financial systems.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (implementation and maintenance).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) finance modules a plus.
  • Proven experience in software development and business analysis.
  • Industry experience in insurance and/or automotive is a plus.
  • Leadership:
  • Demonstrated success managing mid-sized technical teams.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, including integrations and customizations.
  • Proficiency in development languages and tools relevant to Dynamics 365.
  • Certification in Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant and Apps Developer a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
