Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Director of IT Finance Systems to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our financial systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise, business acumen, and proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop, execute, and maintain a long-term roadmap for finance systems aligned with business goals and transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and executive leadership to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead strategic planning for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations across platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, particularly within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure ecosystems, to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 15–20 IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage workload and project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Technical Expertise:
- Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules.
- Ensure seamless integration between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems (e.g., Contract Management System, Claims, Cancellations, Data Warehouse).
- Lead the design and development of solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide continued support and guidance on legacy finance systems, Microsoft Great Plains (GP).
- Ensure system industry standard compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, security, and audit requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and Finance, ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business needs.
- Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and report progress.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decision-making.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in IT with a focus on financial systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (implementation and maintenance).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) finance modules a plus.
- Proven experience in software development and business analysis.
- Industry experience in insurance and/or automotive is a plus.
- Leadership:
- Demonstrated success managing mid-sized technical teams.
- Strong project management and change management skills.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, including integrations and customizations.
- Proficiency in development languages and tools relevant to Dynamics 365.
- Certification in Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant and Apps Developer a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
