Job Summary


Responsible for performing multiple trading, settlement, and reconciliation functions in a daily valuation retirement plan environment. Take ownership of monitoring, evaluating, and resolving a range of tasks and functions across multiple areas. Provide support to team members within the Trading & Reconciliation team and lead projects and process improvement initiatives for the team. 

Job Responsibilities


  • Monitor incoming cash activity across various systems, ensure items are identified and resolved promptly, and provide error resolution if necessary.
  • Ensure data accuracy across multiple platforms concerning outstanding cash.
  • Analyze and communicate high exposure cash issues and provide resolution. 
  • Complete cash reconciliation of multiple accounts and research and resolve outstanding cash issues. Communicate research findings to various internal departments and track resolution of outstanding cash issues.
  • Verify and process daily pricing files received from custodians on internal recordkeeping system.
  • Verify and process fund dividends on internal recordkeeping system.
  • Complete daily settlement/confirmation of trades from multiple custodians on internal recordkeeping system. Verify accuracy and research and resolve exceptions.
  • Identify, research and resolve fund variances on multiple systems, both internal and external, and update recordkeeping system when necessary. Understand risk created by exception and be able to prioritize workload.
  • Process daily trade requests on internal recordkeeping system. This involves processing, checking and sending files to multiple custodians and resolving any issues that arise. Multiple deadlines must be met on a daily basis so the ability to prioritize workload is a must.
  • Process internal and external manual trade requests and update recordkeeping system accordingly. This may involve numerous calculations and manipulations in Excel.
  • Process complex trading items. Evaluate each request to determine the appropriate course of action based upon various factors.
  • Process escalation items from both internal and external requests. Evaluate each individual scenario and determine appropriate course of action based on various factors and manage timely resolution.
  • Provide daily support to team members. Act as a go-to person for the department and be available to answer questions regarding daily processing and deal with escalated and/or complex items.
  • Review, track, and assign departmental cases within predetermined within strict timeframe.
  • Create and complete daily peer reviews ensuring all trading was completed for the day on a rotating schedule
  • Monitor group email inboxes and Salesforce queues and review all requests within 24 hours. Evaluate requests, determine necessary processing, and communicate accordingly within strict timeframe.
  • Monitor and ensures all trading deadlines are met throughout the day in accordance to predetermined timeframes which includes review and completion of daily checklist(s).
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-4 years’ experience working with retirement plans with extensive experience in cash reconciliation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel
  • Ability to exercise independent, mature judgment, prioritize tasks & maintain confidentiality required
  • Proven ability to work in high pressure environment with deadlines
  • Possesses the ability to display a range of characteristics, including calmness under pressure, a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain tight schedules
  • Sitting, typing and computer monitor viewing for extended periods 

Remote Work Information


For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure employees can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual work space and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours. Compensation Information


The average salary for this position is expected to be between $48,000 and $60,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis. Other rewards and benefits may include: 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, paid-time off, etc.
