We are seeking an experienced

Arabic Sign Language Interpreter (ArSL) to work on a remote, assignment-based basis. Responsibilities include facilitating communication between Arabic-speaking deaf individuals and hearing persons through sign language interpretation.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in interpretation, linguistics, communication, or a related field (preferred).Completion of a sign language interpreting program.

Certification:

Certification from a recognized ArSL body is requested.Additional certifications in specialized fields (e.g., medical, legal) may be advantageous.

Skills:

Proficiency in Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) or other relevant sign languages is a plusStrong verbal communication skills to convey messages accurately.Excellent listening skills to comprehend spoken language effectively.Cultural competency and understanding of deaf culture.

Experience:

Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in various settings (e.g., educational, medical, community).Familiarity with interpreting equipment and technology is a plus.
