Summary
Techstra is seeking an experienced Lead API Developer with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs for backend microservices in a fast-paced financial services environment. This position requires hands-on experience integrating with cloud-based Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platforms and taking full ownership of the DevOps lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an innovative problem solver, capable of optimizing performance and leading architectural decisions while ensuring high security and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot for backend microservices.
- Integrate microservices with cloud-based CCaaS platforms, ensuring high security, scalability, and performance.
- Lead architecture and design discussions related to API development and microservice implementation.
- Manage the complete DevOps lifecycle: build, test, deploy, monitor, and support APIs in production.
- Implement version control and API governance best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial data protection standards and API security protocols.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of backend/API development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven expertise in RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience integrating with cloud-based CCaaS systems in financial services environments.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps tools and processes, including:
- CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- API management and security with IBM DataPower
- Web application protection via Akamai
- Source control with Git
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
- Deep understanding of API security, including OAuth, encryption, and secure data handling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
