Reporting to the Director of Sales, Boulevard is looking for a sales leader to lead our newly established field sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Territory Account Executives selling into the SMB market in New York, while establishing a local presence in the market. You have a track record of success in managing teams towards achieving results, and you can drive accurate reporting to company leadership. You are familiar with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and other sales tools, as well as coaching and mentoring Territory Account Executives.  This is a field sales opportunity based out of a personal home office.

Travel a minimum of 50% to co-sell with the sales team. You must live local to New York City, NY (Manhattan preferred) or be willing to relocate to the area. 

What you’ll do here:


Sales Prowess


  • Plan, organize and lead our field sales team focused on selling to the SMB segment in our largest and highest potential market(s). 
  • Create playbook to ensure a successful and scalable outcome for our field sales motion. 
  • Enable and empower your team through walk-ins, prospecting, trade shows, and local business partnerships to help exceed quotas. 
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform and adapt sales strategies, ensuring Boulevard maintains a competitive edge in the SMB market.
  • Develop deep expertise in Boulevard’s products and a strong understanding of client needs. Support Territory Account Executives in closing deals and resolving escalated client issues to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Share best practices with other team members to level up the overall sales team. 

Coaching, Training, and People Management


  • Establish territory domain to build top of funnel leads and referrals by connecting with local customers and partners, and attending/hosting local events within your community, kickstarting the flywheel to build Boulevard’s brand awareness within designated territory.
  • Hire, train, and mentor Territory Account Executives, providing ongoing coaching on sales best practices, discovery, and demosFoster a high-performance culture through recognition, motivation, and effective change management
  • Develop, document, and implement repeatable sales processes and best practices to drive efficiency and ensure scalable growth

Forecasting, Process, and Reporting


  • Manage your team’s pipeline to deliver accurate forecasting and reporting metrics
  • Report insights and learnings from the field to sales leadership with an eye to consistently improve process
  • Guide the implementation and training of new sales processes for Account Executives

What you’ll need to thrive:


  • Passion for small business: You are dedicated to helping SMBs thrive. 
  • Sales leadership experience: 2+ years of experience in sales management and/or team leadership, specifically supporting a field sales motion. 
  • Full cycle sales experience: 5+ years selling complex software solutions (payments/fintech a plus)
  • Team enablement: You take pride in developing others to do the best work of their lives
  • Process and data orientation: You seek continuous improvement, and data-driven results

Your starting budgeted cash compensation for this role is $120,000 + $120,000 OTC, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands.
