Teal has been recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States. We are looking for an experienced VP of Product to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years equivalent experience in product leadership and/or management role. This role is a leadership position that will shape the product vision, strategy, and execution for TEAL’s products and services. This role is responsible for shaping the product roadmap, uncovering new opportunities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive product success. The VP of Product also leads market and competitive analysis and works closely on go-to-market strategies to ensure the product portfolio supports and advances Teal’s broader company goals.

The ideal candidate will be a “strategic doer” – somebody who is able to see the future while also executing in the weeds – and has a background in product, hands-on engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), and telecommunications.

Responsibilities:


  • Report directly to the CEO to first develop a complete understanding of TEALs product strategy and roadmap, and then improve and collaborate on that mission.
  • Work with engineering leadership to define and prioritize a pipeline of software improvements and new business requirements for TEAL systems that are aligned with the needs of the business. This will require breaking down big ideas into focused, prioritized work.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ needs to ensure we’re building products that meet their needs and drive strong market fit. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging directly with customers on sales calls, support calls, and QBRs.
  • Craft and communicate a clear, inspiring vision for our product direction.
  • Collaborate closely with Teal’s leadership, sales, marketing, and solutions teams to shape and align our go-to-market strategy.
  • Stay informed on market shifts, customer behavior, and industry trends to help guide product strategy and surface new opportunities.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive new product and operational efficiencies

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years’ or equivalent experience in a product leadership role for an enterprise software product; B2B experience.
  • 3-5 years in the Internet of Things (IoT), telecom, and/or hardware industries.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer. Needs the ability to get into the weeds with engineering when necessary and to realistically forecast software improvements. JIRA, Confluence, JAVA, Databricks, AWS, MySQL are all technologies and tools you will need hands on experience with.
  • Experience working with a variety of teams, including C-Suite, Sales, Engineering and Marketing
  • Ability to drive and communicate with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to evaluate and discuss technical concepts.
  • Familiarity with eSIM provisioning concepts and carrier billing systems a huge bonus.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships
  • Deep understanding of customers concerns and thoughts regarding the use of products, and the ability to troubleshoot as needed

Compensation:
