Workday Grants Principal Consultant
to join our team of experts and help us deliver exceptional service to our clients.The Principal Consultant, Grants serves as a critical project team member and subject matter expert. As part of our Workday Practice, you’ll be part of a new and energized team of Workday professionals who deliver more than just technology. From initial assessments to entire transformations, you’ll deliver Workday Financial Management solutions equipping organizations with the information they need to make better business decisions.
Responsibilities Include
- Delivers consulting solutions for large, complex projects and/or clients; serves as a subject matter expert and independently creates client deliverables as appropriate
- Specializing and expanding your skill set within the Grants Management solution for Workday Financial Management
- Keeping up to date with the latest thought leadership on Finance thinking, tools and techniques in your area of expertise
- Understanding and applying the Workday and Avaap methodologies
- Participating and leading in all stages of the Avaap Way methodology for implementing Workday Financial Management solutions
- Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices
- Responsible for the analysis, design, scheduling, construction and delivery of multiple products within the Workday Financial Management solution
- Support the Financials Lead in architecting the Workday Financials solution to ensure cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated
- Recognize business process inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements
- Provide guidance, instruction, and coach more junior team members
- Leverage current Avaap methodology, best practices, and tools to deliver client solutions; identifies opportunities for improvement and drives enhancements
- Completes other related responsibilities as assigned based on client or business needs
Desired Experiences And Skills
- Academic studies or equivalent work experience in practice-related discipline
- Deep knowledge of practice offerings and services
- Recent financial consulting experience in a team-based professional services environment
- Experience working with post-award Grants Management with public sector or higher education clients
- Proficient in multiple financial domains such as procurement, budgets, accounts receivable, etc
- Ability to translate business requirements into complex system configurations
- Advanced analytical and technical skills evidenced by role in previous projects
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize with little supervision
- Workday Financials Certified. Preferred: Workday specialty certification such as Grants Management
- 1+ implementation of the Workday Grants Management solution
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external
Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.
- Base Salary Range is $135,000 to $185,500 plus 20% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
- During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
- Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
- Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
