How You Contribute to Pinnacle Transplant’s Success
The Facilities and Maintenance Technician OR Specialistis part of the Facilities & Maintenance team and is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, major and minor repairs, and service of all building related aspects as well as supporting the business needs for preventative maintenance, major and minor repairs to equipment used to produce human tissue allograft products and amniotic tissue in accordance with PTT’s SOPs, and federal, state, and regional regulations. Work hours: Saturday – Tuesday; 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Position is posted as three (3) possible levels to be considered based on the experience the candidate(s) brings:
- Facilities & Maintenance Technician 1:
- Hourly/Non-Exempt Position: $25.00 - $28.50/hour
- High School Diploma with 1-3 years previous experience
- Facilities & Maintenance Technician 2:
- Hourly/Non-Exempt Position: $28.50 - $32.00/hour
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Facilities & Maintenance Specialist:
- Salaried/Exempt Position: $70,000 - $85,000
- High School Diploma with a minimum 3-5 years experience, required
What You Will Do
- Prioritizes work to support the needs of the business, operations and maintain the quality of the Facility & equipment, PM / Calibration program.
- Review and assess incoming work orders to address those using internal and external resources as required.
- Responsible for responding to and executing maintenance work orders as it relates to the facility, equipment and general upkeep of the building.
- Assist Facilities Manager with high level projects to upgrade/remodel/retrofit the facilities to meet company needs.
- Greet and escort service/repair technicians, electricians, etc. from the lobby to the job site and back, ensuring compliance to all company safety and cGMP procedures.
- Performs timely preventive maintenance on equipment according to the site preventative maintenance/calibration schedule and documents all work performed on the appropriate forms according to approved procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
- Assist in the purchasing of all outsourced equipment repair services according to company procedures as well as the purchasing of new equipment.
- Performs repair and service on equipment according to manufacturer’s operation manuals and documents all work performed on the approved form.
- Sources and recommends equipment and facilities service providers for major repairs or preventive maintenance that is beyond the capability of current maintenance personnel.
- Identify cost savings as it relates to outsourcing of facility and equipment repair. Determine the need to increase internal capabilities to address existing and future needs.
- Source and contract vendors/contractors, manage projects and workload of external contract/vendors.
- Maintain vendor relationships; obtain bids and negotiate rates/prices for vendor services (e.g., janitorial, HVAC, Remodels, etc.), review with leadership to make financial decisions.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Director that may include facility upkeep, light construction work, painting and administrative tasks related to the department.
What Qualifications You Will Bring

- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Facilities & Maintenance Specialist:
- Salaried/Exempt Position: $70,000 - $85,000
- High School Diploma with a minimum 3-5 years experience, required
- 3-5+ years’ experience working in a cGMP, pharmaceutical or medical device related industry OR Prior experience working in a facilities environment required.
- Demonstrated competency of electrical (License preferred), HVAC systems (Licensed preferred), mechanics, calibrations and pneumatics principles are preferred.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, and or, instrumentation is preferred.
- Experience using various hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, electrical testing equipment, measuring instruments and other devices is required.
- Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), review of documentation for accuracy and working with Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) systems, preferred.
- Experience establishing Preventative Maintenance (PM) requirements, scheduling PM performance and identifying edge of failure/end of life for equipment and instruments preferred.

Who You Will Partner With
- Daily written and/or verbal communication with Manager/Director to ensure department duties are understood and executed in a safe, timely manner and in support of Production.
- Regular cross-functional communication with all departments to ensure equipment is repaired properly and the proper professionals are hired to service major equipment/building repairs.
- Ongoing training of technicians as assigned by Manager/Director.
Where You Will Work
- Full Time position (40 hours or more) based in Arizona. Hours may include evenings and weekends to perform tasks outlined in the job description; Position may require overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.
- May work in a clean room environment where protective clothing such as hoods, face masks, gloves, boots, and coveralls are required.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and use of power tools. May frequently lift or move items over 50+ pounds.
- Equipment used or maintained during the course of the job may include but is not limited to: a multimeter, ultra-low temperature freezers, refrigerators, HVAC units, centrifuges, heat sealers, ultrasonic water baths, shaker tables, incubators, freeze dryers, and others.
- Position requires steel toe/composite toe boots to be worn at all times
