About the Role

We are seeking a Third-Party Software Product Manager to become the internal expert on the external software solutions that power our business. This role sits at the intersection of product management, systems integration, and business enablement. You will take ownership of the third-party systems we rely on, understanding their features in depth and ensuring they are leveraged to their fullest potential. You’ll work closely with business users, software engineers, and internal product teams to design streamlined, automated, and efficient workflows that integrate these tools with our in-house platform.

Your work will directly reduce development costs, accelerate automation, and focus our internal resources on delivering differentiated capabilities to our clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a power user of capital markets software, such as Order & Execution Management Systems, Portfolio Management Systems, Collateral Management Systems, with strong analytical and product skills, who thrives on understanding how systems work and how to make them work better together. By optimizing how internal and external tools work together, you will be instrumental in building a smarter, more agile technology stack that supports scale, innovation, and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship and roadmap for key third-party software platforms used across the organization.
  • Become the internal expert and super-user on each third-party system’s capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and end-users to maximize utility and adoption of external software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers to avoid unnecessary internal development by leveraging existing vendor functionality.
  • Design and optimize integrations between third-party tools and in-house systems, ensuring seamless data and workflow connectivity.
  • Support the creation of straight-through processes by aligning vendor systems with internal automation goals.
  • Propose enhancements to external vendors where needed and represent the firm in user groups or advisory councils.
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analysis and vendor evaluations when considering new systems or renewals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business systems analysis, operations specialist, in fintech or financial services.
  • Proven experience acting as a super user or SME for capital markets platforms (e.g., OMS, PMS, front-office and back-office systems).
  • Strong technical literacy with APIs, data models, and system architecture; comfortable working with engineering teams on integrations.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for identifying efficiency opportunities and functional overlaps across systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business, technical, and vendor-facing teams.
  • Passionate about automation, process improvement, and delivering business value through technology.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, well-documented integrations that reduce manual work and enable process automation.
  • Increased utilization of third-party features and reduced reliance on custom internal development for commodity functions.
  • Improved efficiency and satisfaction for internal users of third-party systems.
  • Tangible savings in development and maintenance costs due to effective use of vendor capabilities.
