Carrier Operations Specialist (Bilingual)DescriptionThis role must be bilingual (English/Spanish)Past customs brokerage experience is a preferred qualification but not mandatory.Work closely with the new cross boarder carrier sales team, including carriers, drivers and supporting staff all of their logistical needs. You will nurture the carrier relationships built out by our Manager of the Cross boarder team to cover loads, and continuing those lasting relationships with carriers for our established lanes.
You will track and trace operational support ensuring every truck is tracking, running on schedule, and loaded with the correct product.What You'll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier, serving as the primary point of contact for carrier related inquiries, issue resolution and ongoing communication.
- Track and monitor carrier performance metrics including carrier performance and retention, on time delivery, service quality, customer satisfaction, and take proactive measures to solve problems.
- Negotiate with carriers, vet and ensure carrier is compliant and the contact information is verified. Assist carriers in helping onboard or reactivate.
- Work along side our top brokers to ensure their books of business are operating smoothly, including assisting with track and trace.
- Escalate delays in transit and any other issues that could impact service to sales representatives and customer ops team.
- Assist in import/export compliance and customs clearance processes.
- Work with the Carrier Manager's carriers to ensure they have full rate confirmations, pickup numbers, and any shipments they need.
What You'll Need
- Relevant supply chain, sales or customer service experience
- Exemplify a proven track record of high performance
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- Must be bilingual
- Adopt a solution-oriented attitude and energy to approach each day with enthusiasm
