Job Summary:
This position requires an experienced and results-oriented Senior Director/Director of Business Operations to lead, manage, and scale critical functions involving the diagnostic sample lifecycle, including Kit Logistics and Sample Management (shipping, tracking, and fulfillment), Test Ordering, contracted Genetic Counseling and Phlebotomy operations. Additional functions may be included.This leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence with a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in diagnostic laboratory operations, a strong understanding of digital transformation, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a growth environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related) strongly preferred.
- 6-9 years of progressive leadership experience in lab operations.
- Demonstrated success managing and scaling cross-functional operations and teams in dynamic environments

- Apply data and technology to streamline operations and elevate service delivery.
- Support business cases for tools and systems that enhance operational performance and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead and develop high-impact teams focused on operational excellence and service delivery.
- Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture with strong cross-functional integration.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows, sample management, business operations.
- Expertise in data-driven operations management and performance optimization.
- Adept in digital tools including ticketing software platforms.
- Strategic thinker with excellent execution skills and ability to lead through ambiguity and complexity.
