Role Summary:


Fore Bio is a next-generation precision oncology company focused on the development of plixorafenib, an investigational, novel, small-molecule, next-generation, orally available selective inhibitor of mutated BRAF. Fore Bio is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief of Staff to support our CEO in driving Fore Bio's mission and strategic objectives. The Chief of Staff will operate with expertise and exemplary drive to achieve results and will serve as a key partner to the CEO, providing critical support in managing day-to-day operations, facilitating communication and decision-making, and driving strategic initiatives & special projects that shape the company’s direction in support of the Executive Committee priorities.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leadership, communication, and impeccable operational skills in addition to drug discovery or development experience from a leading biotech company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


:


  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans, initiatives, and business objectives
  • Support and represent the Executive Committee’s priorities throughout the organization.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives across the organization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing strategic input, and insights, on key business issues and opportunities
  • Manage the priorities and communications defined by the CEO, ensuring efficient and effective use of time and resources
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, investors, partners, and industry leaders
  • Represent the CEO and Fore Bio in meetings, events, and engagements, effectively demonstrating and communicating the company's vision, values, and objectives
  • Create materials for high-level meetings with pharmaceutical executives, investors, and other stakeholders, using storytelling and visual communication to simplify complex concepts.
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
  • Lead special projects and initiatives, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcome
  • Ensure integration of pipeline project dashboard and help monitor performance of organization as a whole in collaboration with the PMO. Contribute to portfolio vision and prioritization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence across the organization
  • Enable effective and rapid decision making with clear risks, mitigations, go/no-go criteria as part of a holistic operational plan to achieve success.
  • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies, including executive and enterprise messaging, presentations, and announcements
  • Ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding to enhance Fore Bio's reputation and visibility
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, if required, approximately 10% of the time

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 


  • Degree in business, humanities, life sciences, biotechnology, or a related field required; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in biotechnology, life sciences or business development
  • Proven experience in a strategic leadership role where execution is integral, such as Chief of Staff or similar preferably in the biotechnology or healthcare industry
  • Working experience in drug discovery and development and good understanding of external landscape in relevant disease areas.
  • Proven ability to lead others without reporting authority, through demonstrated competency, conscientious effort, continuous learning and improvement, and accountability as a force-multiplier for the organization
  • Strong project management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience gathering and integrating inputs from all disciplines in the company to facilitate assessments, planning and strategy by the pipeline executive team. Able to help bring these inputs up to an appropriately high level to facilitate effective high-level communications, analysis and decision making.
  • Ability to set and follow through goals with a sense of urgency while keeping broader strategic objectives in focus and delivering high standard outcomes.
  • Experience forming and managing complex partnerships, with strong leadership skills and strategic initiative management.
  • Advanced ability in creating decks for meetings and conveying complex scientific and business concepts effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking with an ability to develop and execute complex strategies involving scientific and business model breakthroughs
  • The ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality on certain matters is of utmost importance
  • Highly motivated, decisive, and results-oriented individual with the flexibility and creativity to excel in and contribute to a rapidly growing company.
