Virtual Automotive Technical Advisor

Helm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Advisor to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vehicle diagnosis and repair across the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM brands. This role is pivotal in supporting the dealer network by providing expert virtual assistance on complex vehicle repair issues and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the primary technical resource for escalated vehicle repair concerns from assigned dealers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Dealer Principals, Service Managers, and District Managers (DMs).
  • Collaborate with DMs, Customer Relations Managers, and Customer Care teams to resolve customer concerns related to vehicle operation and repair.
  • Ensure completion of Stellantis technical training curriculum by DMs and assigned dealers.
  • Support warranty cost reduction and buyback prevention initiatives.
  • Contribute to customer experience improvements and fixed first visit success.
  • Assist in dealer readiness for recalls and emerging repair quality issues.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • ASE certification preferred
  • College degree in a related field preferred

Required Competencies:


  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Email and Web 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Effective relationship building skills 
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Sense of urgency  

Location:

Plymouth, MI – Hybrid schedule: 2 days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3 days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday). If located outside of Southeast, MI this role will be fully remote.

Travel Requirement:

This is a fully virtual role but travel to dealers or conferences may be required at times.
