You bring a consultative approach to business development, a deep understanding of the architecture and construction ecosystem, and a passion for sustainable innovation. Your Day to Day Adventure:
Strategic Business Development:
- Identify and secure high-value architectural consulting opportunities.
- Lead multi-stakeholder engagement strategies for projects ranging from $150K–$1M+.
- Position cove’s AI-driven architectural design approach to leading-edge clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, real estate teams, and design-build partners.
Consultative Solution Design:
- Lead discovery conversations to uncover client goals, pain points, and sustainability targets.
- Collaborate with internal architecture and research teams to co-create tailored solutions.
- Craft proposals that clearly communicate ROI and value-add from energy savings, design performance, and reduced delivery timelines.
Client Success & Growth:
- Manage your pipeline and CRM (HubSpot) with rigor and precision.
- Support project handoffs to ensure seamless client experience and internal coordination.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Track and report impact metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of cove’s architectural solutions.
Industry Engagement & Market Leadership:
- Represent cove at conferences, client events, and through thought leadership.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to inform business strategy and client outreach.
What Success Looks Like:
In Your First 30 Days:
- Learn how cove uses AI to improve architecture and sustainability
- Sit in on client meetings with senior consultants to see our process in action
- Start building a list of potential clients and opportunities in your region
By 90 Days:
- Win your first project and guide a client through our consulting process
- Build strong relationships with at least 10 key decision-makers
- Understand the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and how we show the value of our services
By the End of Your First Year:
- Exceed your sales goals by delivering real value to your clients
- Be recognized as a go-to expert in architecture and sustainability
- Help improve our services or internal processes by contributing to a company-wide project
Must Haves:
Education & Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in professional services, consulting sales, or AEC business development.
- Demonstrated ability to close complex, consultative engagements.
- Proven experience engaging with senior decision-makers and navigating long sales cycles.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strategic thinker with tactical execution skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for design, sustainability, and technology-driven transformation.
Bonus Points:
- Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or design-build.
- Familiarity with building performance metrics and sustainability standards.
- Existing relationships in the real estate or design industries.
