Summary of Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the Transportation Segment for the global Gexpro Services business and strategic acquisitions. 
  • Meet or exceed operating plans for Sales, EBITDA, and Trade Working Capital for all Transportation North America businesses. 
  • Coordinate Key Account activities for Global Transportation Sites and Acquisition businesses. 
  • Lead Gexpro Services Strategic Initiatives for the Global Transportation businesses to include Synergies across Distribution Solutions Group "DSG", Acquisition Synergies, Expanding vendor managed inventory, Kitting Services and E-Commerce adoption. 
  • Directly lead, manage, motivate and train the Global Account Managers in the Transportation Vertical in North America. Provide leadership, motivation, direction to Program Managers in the Transportation Vertical in North America to serve customers
  • Drive new business growth in the Transportation markets to gain market share and diversify 
  • Stay knowledgeable and current about the Transportation markets served, customers, vendors, and competitors. Support the continued integration of acquisition business units into Gexpro Services
  • Lead acquisition strategy for Transportation within Gexpro Services

Skills, Knowledge and Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry or vertical segment experience.

Requirements:


  • Ability to effectively manage a P&L operation.
  • Experience leading, developing and implementing organic and inorganic growth strategies. 
  • Demonstrated product & industry knowledge of supply chain services segment. 
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial/contract management, managing project finances and supplier negotiations 
  • Strong executive level presentation skills. 
  • Strong communication skills & ability to share information. 
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven record in decision making and motivating others to deliver
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 30% of the time

Language Skills:


Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

Mathematical Skills:


Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets

Reasoning Ability:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
